Nan has been around a while so she has had the opportunity for a few experiences; After college lived in N.Y., raised 4 children, went back to school for a Masters in Ed. and taught elementary school children for a number of years. Returned to University for 2 more years and then moved to rural Maine. Began and directed the Special Services Dept. for a 6 town school district. Moved to Portland 20+ years ago. Developed several residential subdivisions and started work as a residential real estate broker. Still at it. Have been active in the community in several ways: helped to start a rural health center and later helped to create and support a cultural arts venue. Currently on the Board of Greater Portland Landmarks as well as I.T.N. Portland is a fine city that is experiencing many of the challenges of the times. . It's a privilege to live here, participate in the present and work towards next steps. I'm also incredibly fortunate to have 4 adult children and 7 grandkids all of whom - both generations - are healthy, involved, caring people.
