Celebrating 30 Years of Lifelong Mobility: ITNPortland and ITNAmerica Mark a Milestone Together

As the Executive Director of ITNPortland, I’m honored to celebrate a truly special occasion—the 30th Anniversary of both ITNPortland and ITNAmerica! In November, we’ll gather right here in Portland, Maine, with fellow affiliates, partners, and advocates from across the country to commemorate three decades of advancing independence, dignity, and lifelong mobility for older adults and people with mobility challenges.

Founded together in 1995, ITNPortland and ITNAmerica have grown from a visionary idea into a national movement. For 30 years, we’ve worked hand-in-hand to ensure that transportation is never a barrier to connection, care, or community. At ITNPortland, we’re proud to be the founding affiliate and a continuing leader in this mission.

The celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 6:00–9:00 PM at Grace in Portland, Maine. The evening will feature dinner, an open bar, inspiring speakers, and special recognition of U.S. Senators Susan Collins and Angus King for their enduring support of dignified mobility. We’ll also spotlight ITNAmerica’s exciting new initiative: America’s Volunteer Driver Center, a national campaign to recruit 150,000 volunteer drivers to support transportation programs across the country.

This event is more than a celebration—it’s a call to action. If you believe in the power of mobility to transform lives, I invite you to:

Let’s honor the past, celebrate the present, and drive forward into a future where everyone can get where they need to go—safely, affordably, and with dignity.

With appreciation,
Morgan Jameson
Executive Director, ITNPortland
