Rides Coordinator/Driver
If you are looking for a rewarding work experience where you make a difference in your community, this may be the job for you. We are looking for a part-time Driver/Rides Coordinator. Some weeks may be mostly driving and others may be mainly answering phones. We are looking for someone flexible, and have several schedule options available for the right candidate.
Must have a clean driving record as providing rides is part of the job! Drivers provide rides to older adults and those with disabilities in our vehicles. Rides take place in the Greater Portland area, within 15 miles of downtown Portland. Our drivers provide assistance to all passengers, offering a steadying arm to the vehicle and carrying packages. Training is provided. ITN runs both criminal background checks and driving record checks.
This person will also fill in as a Rides Coordinator on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As Rides Coordinator you will be the first point of contact for ITNPortland’s members, responsible for scheduling rides, coordinating with ITN’s volunteer and paid drivers, answering questions, and assisting with general office duties. This is a fast-paced, friendly work experience that truly helps people.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfort speaking over the telephone and a positive and professional telephone etiquette
- Energetic, flexible in dynamic environment
- Highly organized and attentive to detail

Volunteer Driver
